2. Types of sessions
There are 2 types of sessions in Snap & Bill:
- Regular session, called “Session”.
- Adhoc Session.
Referred to as session throughout this document and the software. A regular session requires that allmeters, for a type of utility, (from the site) be read using the mobile app. Only then can the session be closed. This is usually the case most of the time, where, for example, all of the 16 electricity meters of a building have to be read every month end so that the respective invoices may be generated.
An ad-hoc session allows only one meter to be invoiced, at any time of the month. This is useful if an invoice has to be generated for a meter at a specific date, in the case of a change of tenant for example. Otherwise, if a meter has to be physically replaced, then we would create an invoice for the consumption till the day of the change.
